About the WC Stolen & Hijacked Vehicles project

Our origin was in January 2015, when Mr. Craig Hansen set up a Facebook Group to help assist with the distribution of stolen & hijacked vehicle information to Western Cape Residents.

At the WC Stolen & Hijacked Vehicles Project, we understand the detrimental impact that vehicle theft and hijacking can have on individuals, families, and businesses.

Our slogan "𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑" conveys our dedication to fostering teamwork, and actively engaging with our community.

In October 2022 we registered the WC Stolen & Hijacked Vehicles as a NPC (non-profit company), as we were determined and dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the fight against vehicle crime. Through collaboration and partnership, and working closely with various Security Companies (currently 50+), the South African Police Service, CoCT Enforcement Agencies, Neighbourhood Watch Organisations and Community Stakeholders, we gather intelligence on these vehicle crimes, send out BOLO's via WhatsApp, send our Sought Posters & Recovered Posters via WhatsApp, and of course post these to our very own Facebook Page.

Moreover, we believe that the entire Western Cape community plays a crucial role in combating vehicle crimes. By remaining vigilant and keeping an eye out for reported vehicles, every individual can contribute to our collective efforts in ensuring safety and security across our region.
